Ceremonial matcha whisk
NOTIFY ME WHEN AVAILABLE
Description
Carved with precision from a single piece of bamboo, this handmade matcha whisk, also known as a chasen, is an essential tool for traditional Japanese matcha tea preparation. Its high number of bristles creates an exceptionally smooth and fine foam, allowing the matcha to fully develop its rich aroma when whisked in a tea bowl.

AGOBAY Showroom ZurichWith a handle measuring 30×20mm and a brush sized at 80×50mm, this chasen is perfectly balanced to create a smooth and frothy matcha. For the best results, use M-shaped motions rather than circular ones. Each chasen comes with a case, ensuring safe storage and preserving its delicate structure.
Bamboo
Before each use, soak the prongs of your chasen in hot water for a few seconds to make them softer and more flexible, reducing the risk of breakage while whisking. After use, gently rinse the chasen with warm water, avoiding detergent, to maintain its natural beauty and quality. Ensure the chasen is thoroughly dried before storing it with the bristles facing up in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight.
